THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE I'VE EVER OWNED. PERIOD. I WORE THE FIRST PAIR THAT I OWNED 5 DAYS A WEEK FOR AT LEAST 10 HOURS A DAY. AND AFTER 9-10 MONTHS OF HARD WALKING THEY'RE PRETTY BEAT, BUT THERE'S STILL TREAD ON 'EM AND I'M NOT THROWING THEM OUT. AND I DIDN'T PUT ON THE SECOND PAIR UNTIL I HAD PURCHASED A THIRD PAIR TO PUT AWAY IN THE CLOSET.THAT'S WHAT I THINK OF THESE SHOES. ENOUGH SAID.

I love the look of Tretorns. However, I wore them for the first time sightseeing, not a great idea. They are fine for casual wear and look very cute, but they are a little too narrow if you have a wide foot and need to be broken in a bit before extended walking.

For many years these great shoes were almost impossible to find. If you wear your Tretorns only casually and not competitively, they may last a decade or more. I once had a pair with a Tartan gullwing (they don't seem to make those anymore) that stayed comfortable and presentable for 12 years. All I had to do was brush them off and apply a coat of Sneaker White every once in a while. (If you do this, put Vaseline on the gullwings and you won't get the white polish on them!)

We purchased these shoes for my daughter who plays competitive volleyball. So far she says they hurt her feet a bit and has spoken to some girls who have had them for a while and they say it only gets worse. Time will tell. Other than that, she loves the look.
